Since parents have the most impact on their child’s development, a critical part of every Head Start program is the engagement of parents. Parents have the opportunity to participate in such things as parent education/training, program planning, governance, and operating activities. Every parent is encouraged to participate as much as they can in order to support and promote their child’s development and school readiness.
