Heartland Head Start encourages the enrollment of children with a wide range of ability. We work in conjunction with the school districts to dual enroll children with special needs and meet the children’s needs in the best way our program can. We also work with Child and Family Connections #16 to meet the needs of children receiving early intervention services. Our program also does developmental screenings on every child in the program in order to identify children who may need more support than a regular education classroom can offer. Screenings occur within the first 45 days of a child’s enrollment. Heartland Head Start is a member of the Livingston County Local Education Association as well as the McLean County Local Education Association. If you have questions about whether or not Heartland Head Start can meet the needs of your child, please contact our Special Services Manager at 309-662-4880.
